I just want to quickly say thank you if you’ve been reading these. I started off the year ambitious, rejuvenated, feeling focused and unbreakable, but of course, nothing gold can stay. Or as this meme puts it:
Ultimately, I’m fiiiine. Emotions ebb and flow (also my Nexplanon implant is expiring so maybe that’s playing a part), but it’s frustrating. I just gotta recenter.
Daniel and I are cat-sitting for the next couple of months, so I’m planning on taking a break from instagram during that time, work on music, read, write these newsletter stories, exercise. It’ll be nice.
I got these cool wool pants second hand from a friend of mine recently and they’re proving to be one of my new favorite staples. They’re as comfortable as sweats, yet, so versatile. Something that’s been missing in my closet is a pair of pants with a looser, baggy, even, fit. I had wanted a pair of those Uniqlo pleated pants, and pined after a pair of Adidas track pants, but one day while I was sitting at home in my sadness I decided to try and make a bunch of different outfits using the same pair pants I already do own. Outfits that feel like me, but don’t require much effort.
Was kind of inspired by these pics of Katie Holmes’ street style which I don’t know if we’re talking about enough but also maybe I’m not in the right pocket of the internet.

Okay here are my lil outfit ideas, all using the same trousers:
Band tee with bracelet cuff and some cute sneakers = effort.
Add a loose fitting jacket, another piece of jewelry and a little makeup to get ready for that event you committed to and only just remembered even though you’re sad and don’t feel like going!
When I saw the film ‘Showing Up’, there were so many items Michelle William’s character wore that I loved, so this is my version of dressing that way, and, with spring around the corner, it was exciting to break out my jellies.
Speaking of Spring, being a Bright Spring and all, gray is a color I’m supposed to avoid for the most part as it’s very soft and cool and my undertone is intense and warm, but I really like the jacket and sometimes you just feel gray, you know?
Tried to get pic of giant cute scrunchie, but I’m wearing this in the floral print.
Sometimes I forget about that trick where you turn the cardigan around and wear it like a boat neck sweater, and then I’m like, oh yeah, that’s cool!
Once again, I transformed this into an outfit for seeing people by adding accessories and a red lip to brighten me up just touch, paired with red flats to match.
I should have switched to sneakers of boots for the tote bag look but oh well, still comfy 😎
One thing I want to do while on this break is have little dates with myself, get a glass of wine somewhere alone, just me and a book, and all of these outfits I’d absolutely wear while doing that.
parasocial relationship of the week
Every time a new season of Love is Blind premieres, I think, I probably should stop watching this show… but then I remember that it means my favorite YouTube psychologist, Dr. Kirk Honda, will make videos reacting with a thoroughly therapeutic POV to scenes in the show, and I absolutely love getting his professional takes.
Ok bye, love you, more hyperfixations to come,
– Er 🌹
